🌭 Hot Dog Summer — Privacy Policy

Hot Dog Summer is a small app for logging the hot dogs you eat. This policy explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

What we collect

• Phone number — used only to sign you in (via a one-time text code) and to keep your log tied to you across devices.
• Your name — optional, only what you type in.
• Hot dog entries — the kind of hot dog, the place, an optional rating and notes, and the date.
• Photos — only photos you choose to attach to an entry.
• Location — only if you tap "use my current location," and only to find the nearby place name. We store the coordinates you attach to an entry.

How it is used

This data is used solely to provide the app — to show you your own hot dog log and statistics. It is private to your account.

Service providers

• Amazon Web Services — sends the one-time sign-in text message.
• Cloudflare — hosts the service and stores uploaded photos.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — used to look up place names; search text and coordinates you enter are sent to it for that lookup.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete any entry in the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at the address below and we will remove it promptly.

Children

Hot Dog Summer is not directed at children under 13.
